The 2010 International Builders Show was held in Las Vegas in January, with approximately 60,000 builders in attendance. There were 960 product exhibits on display, which meant alot of walking and talking to vendors for the four days we were there. Emphasis was placed on more efficient, “greener”, and more comfortable homes with a better payback on your money. Great show!

Casa Bella Verde has participated in two Renewable Energy Expos this year — the first was the “Green Expo” in Round Rock, and in September, the “Renewable Energy Roundup” in Fredericksburg. The Casa Bella team has outfitted a trailer with the Energy Ball wind turbine, a photovoltaic panel, a thermal heat tube, and other energy saving products for the shows. Based on the number of people we talked with at the expos, there is a great deal of interest in and a desire to learn more about what is available in the energy conservation field.

With tax credits available to homeowners for a variety of energy-saving installations in 2009 and 2010, now is the perfect time to learn more about this emerging industry for individual homeowners.
